Playday – Henderson
This Playday will be an indoor playgroup due to the winter weather. We will make the most of the indoor venue for art, puzzles, playdough & a sensory activities. The Playgroup will be shared with the HIPPY families. Catherine from the library is coming to join us for an interactive storytime session at 10.00 and Michelle from Kids Safe With Dogs will lead an educational session with the adults and children and her dog at 11.00.

Tamaki Makaurau Early Years Leadership Network Meeting
This meeting will focus on ‘Safeguarding Children’ presented by Kim Dickinson, Safeguarding Manager and Lorraine Duncumb, Group Manager ECE from the YMCA of Auckland. Kim and Lorraine will present the processes and policy about protecting children, and how they engage with staff recruitment; teacher trainee practicum providers; and tutors providing for additional needs of children in their centres. The YMCA is on a journey to become the first organisation in New Zealand to have an international accreditation as a safe children organisation.

Where / Te Wahi: Potters Park Event Centre, 164 Balmoral Road, Balmoral. (Located in the Auckland Deaf Society building). There is plenty of free parking available on site.
