At last, an easy to use New Zealand guide about transition to school for parents. There are many physical and language opportunities to help your child develop and to help them learn. A big factor that really helps children transition well from early learning to school is forming the relationships of support for your child with others at school. Parents and whānau play an important role in talking about their children’s emerging knowledge, strengths and ways of learning. Teachers can tailor learning for children if they get to know their new entrants and their families well.
