Playdays are free fun days with morning tea provided for 0-5 year olds and their whanau. Fun activities are provided for young children with their parents with games, music, art, physical play and more. We meet at different public venues around West Auckland.
Why? Community-led culture matters, especially with a focus on connectedness and helping families harnessing those who can provide relevant support. Having leaders from the same area and culture will open up partnership with parents. We help build parental confidence and increase participation. We mention various learning and developmental stages of education for children and the skills and information they need. Family access to learning is valuable, and parental time with children helps grow relationships and inspire learning. We remind parents that they are so important to their children’s learning, and so therefore must be more accessible and resourced appropriately to increase parent motivation and confidence.
